The Home Builder Package provides owners (including first home buyers) with a grant of $25,000 to build a new home or renovate an existing home.
With the Home Builder Package you could receive $25,000 for upgrading your home. Here’s the criteria you need to meet.
You must be an adult Australian citizen with a taxable income of less than $125,000 p.a. (or combined income household income of less than $200,000 p.a.)
You must enter into a contract to renovate your home before the end of the year.
Your house must also be valued at less than 1.5 million before renovating.
You must start building within 3 months of the contract date.
You must spend $150,000-750,000 of your own money.
Your renovations also need to improve the accessibility, safety or liveability of the home.
